Dr. Evelyn McCollin is a veteran teacher with 46 years' teaching experience. Subsequent to teaching in Barbados for about seven years, she migrated to the Bahamas in 1971, where she taught at St. John's College Secondary School for 16 years. Sis. McCollin later joined the faculty of the College of the Bahamas in 1987 as a History Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences. As an adult Educator, Dr. McCollin served as Assistant Director, responsible for the Upgrading Department in the Center for Continuing Education, from May 1999 to August 2000. She conducted workshops on Teaching Methods for Adult Learners and presented Papers at Conferences. She retired from the College of the Bahamas as an Associate Professor in 2010 and returned to Barbados.

In 1968, Sis. McCollin received a Bachelor’s Degree in History and English from the University of the West Indies. Later, she read for a Master of Education Degree in Secondary School Administration from the University of Miami. In 1991, this erudite lady completed a Teacher’s Certificate from the Joint Board of Teacher Education in association with the University of the West Indies and the College of the Bahamas. Thereafter, in 1998, she read for a Doctorate in Adult Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Dr. McCollin is a born again spirit-filled believer in Christ. She initiated the Student Christian Movement at St. John's College. This passionate woman for God was a member of Bahamas Faith Ministries founded by Dr. Myles Munroe for 30 years. It was within this ministry, where she received sound Biblical teaching and matured in the knowledge of the Word. In addition, she served in the Ministry as Kingdom Care (i.e., Cell-group) leader, Counsellor and participated in a myriad of outreach endeavours to many of the Family Islands in The Bahamas.

This devout Christian lady is well qualified and experienced to deliver content in in the area of 'Facilitating Adult Learning'. She ministered as an Elder at PFDM Prophetic Favor and Deliverance Ministries. Dr. McCollin has been conducting Bible Studies on Wednesday nights since April this year. She treated to topics such as: How to Pray, Spiritual Gifts, Praise and Worship, Spiritual Warfare, The work of Angels, Divine Healing, and the Names of Jesus.
